The Opportunity:

As the Head's PA and Admissions Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher while managing the admissions process. This is a dual role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work sensitively with students, parents, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, school staff, and Governors in the smooth operation of the school.
  • Manage all aspects of the admissions process including Year 7, in-year admissions, and appeals.
  • Liaise effectively with the Local Authority Pupil Access Team and external agencies.
  • Provide administrative support across finance, human resources, governance, events, communications, and site management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and local authority requirements.
  • Collaborate with school staff and governors to support the school community.
  • Organize and manage school events and communications as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Ability to work sensitively and handle confidential information.
  • Proactive and team-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in using administrative software and systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in admissions or student support roles.
  • Knowledge of school governance and statutory requirements.
  • Experience with managing multiple roles or responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.
