The Opportunity:
As the Head's PA and Admissions Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher while managing the admissions process. This is a dual role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work sensitively with students, parents, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, school staff, and Governors in the smooth operation of the school.
- Manage all aspects of the admissions process including Year 7, in-year admissions, and appeals.
- Liaise effectively with the Local Authority Pupil Access Team and external agencies.
- Provide administrative support across finance, human resources, governance, events, communications, and site management.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and local authority requirements.
- Collaborate with school staff and governors to support the school community.
- Organize and manage school events and communications as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- Experience in a school or educational environment.
- Ability to work sensitively and handle confidential information.
- Proactive and team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in using administrative software and systems.
Preferred
- Experience in admissions or student support roles.
- Knowledge of school governance and statutory requirements.
- Experience with managing multiple roles or responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines.

- Competitive salary (pro-rata for term-time only position).
- 5 INSET Days included in the working schedule.
