Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to students aged 11 to 18, with a focus on achieving outstanding pupil outcomes.
- Create engaging and innovative lesson plans that foster a love of learning and encourage critical thinking.
- Support the school's leadership programme by inspiring students to become confident, responsible, and socially aware individuals.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve teaching and learning across the school.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to ensure continued development.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the school’s mission of nurturing young people and inspiring future leaders.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and stay up to date with best practices in education.
- Maintain a positive and motivating classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience of teaching to GCSE standard
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding attainment and achievement
- Demonstrable experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate both pupils and colleagues
Preferred
- Experience in a faith-based or values-driven school environment
- Experience with leadership development programmes
- Experience in innovative and creative teaching methods
- Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds
