Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in History and Geography aligned with the UK curriculum.
- Support the academic growth and personal development of students through innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
- Prepare and assess students' work in line with the school's high standards and curriculum requirements.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject area and educational best practices.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence in arts and sports through relevant initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
- Experience or suitability for Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
- Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum for History and Geography
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Preferred
- Experience in teaching A Level History or Geography
- Demonstrated ability to engage students effectively
- Experience working in a school with a strong emphasis on arts and sports
