Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate English teaching and learning strategies across multiple schools.
  • Support and mentor teachers to enhance their practice and professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape curriculum and assessment policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in English, inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with other subject leads to ensure consistency and quality across the Trust.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, aspiration, and service within the school community.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Trust.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in secondary education.
  • Proven leadership experience within a school or multi-academy trust.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English and a commitment to raising standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and across multiple schools.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development or leading departmental initiatives.
  • Familiarity with multi-academy trust structures and operations.
  • Experience with data analysis and student progress tracking.
  • Leadership qualifications or experience in educational leadership roles.
