The Opportunity:
As an English Teacher with leadership responsibility, you’ll play a key role in shaping the learning experience of students who require tailored support. You’ll deliver high-quality English lessons while contributing to a positive, structured, and stimulating environment that encourages growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, flexible English lessons tailored to individual and small group needs
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse learning, behavioural, and emotional requirements
- Track and celebrate student progress through regular assessments and meaningful feedback
- Collaborate with Learning Support Assistants and care staff to ensure consistency and quality in learning
- Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school culture
- Support students in developing self-regulation, confidence, and independence
- Ensure student safety and well-being during on-site and off-site learning activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified to teach English (QTS or equivalent)
- Experience in planning and delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
- Ability to monitor student progress and implement individualised strategies
- Strong team-working skills and experience of working in a multi-professional environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs or communication difficulties
- Experience in a leadership or middle management role within education
- Experience in developing and delivering life skills or enrichment activities
