The Opportunity:

As a Lead Clinician - Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in managing the in-house clinical team and delivering specialist assessments and interventions. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop clinical services while making a meaningful impact on student outcomes in a dynamic and growing education setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the in-house clinical team, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex needs, including autism and SEMH.
  • Coordinate the line management of the onsite clinical team and support their professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and Regional Clinical Lead to shape and develop the clinical service.
  • Ensure all interventions align with EHCP plans and OFG’s ‘all’, ‘group’, and ‘individual’ clinical working methods.
  • Support students in developing independence through specialist therapeutic approaches.
  • Maintain strong safeguarding practices and ensure pupils are at the centre of all clinical decisions.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to clinical innovation and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • HCPC registered Occupational Therapist
  • Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., BPS)
  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience, preferably in a child or education setting
  • Experience working with autistic individuals and those with complex needs
  • Ability to write clear and concise clinical and research reports
  • Experience in supervising and supporting a therapy team
  • Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service
  • Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle

Preferred

  • Management experience within a clinical or education setting
  • Experience of multi-professional teamwork within the designated specialty
  • Experience in delivering training or professional development sessions
