We are seeking an inspiring English Teacher to join our team and teach pupils in Year 5 to Year 8. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across Year 5 to Year 8.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans and contribute to curriculum design aligned with the British curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment where students thrive and feel supported.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Promote high standards of literacy, spoken language, and analytical writing.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as debating, drama, creative writing, or reading clubs.
  • Play an active role in the wider life of the school community and support student development beyond the classroom.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent from a UK university.
  • Experience teaching English within a British curriculum setting.
  • Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills.
  • A passion for literature and language, with the ability to inspire pupils.
  • High motivation for teaching with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Proven experience teaching in the UK.
  • Experience preparing pupils for transition into Key Stage 3 and beyond.
  • A strong commitment to outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Recent UK or international school experience.
  • Child protection training.
