Summary:

Seeking an Executive Headteacher to lead a high-performing Church of England academy with a strong Christian ethos.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary, values-driven leadership aligned with the school’s Christian ethos and mission.
  • Build on the school’s outstanding performance and lead its future strategic development.
  • Ensure excellence in teaching, learning, behaviour, and attendance across all year groups.
  • Lead, develop, and hold to account a large and highly professional staff team.
  • Work collaboratively with governors, the Trust, the Diocese, and the wider community.
  • Champion safeguarding and the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
  • Deliver a strong pastoral and academic curriculum, including the unique working farm experience.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven track record in leading a successful school, preferably in a Church of England context.
  • Experience in school improvement and strategic leadership.
  • Strong understanding of educational standards, curriculum development, and pastoral care.
  • Ability to work effectively with governors, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and the wellbeing of pupils and staff.

Preferred

  • Experience in post-16 leadership or NPQH qualification.
  • Familiarity with multi-academy trust structures and collaborative leadership.
  • Experience in pastoral care and chaplaincy work.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a passion for education and community service.
