The Opportunity:

As an EYFS Assistant Headteacher, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage team to drive academic success and enhance teaching and learning practices. This is a unique opportunity to influence and shape early years education in a progressive, international setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the EYFS department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Collaborate with the Primary Senior Management team to implement strategies that raise student achievement.
  • Provide coaching and support to staff to improve pedagogical practices and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning across the EYFS curriculum.
  • Develop and implement innovative approaches to learning and assessment.
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all students.
  • Work closely with parents and the wider school community to support student development.
  • Promote the school's vision and values through leadership and professional practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading and managing an EYFS department.
  • Strong track record in driving academic improvement and student achievement.
  • Qualified teacher with relevant early years education experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Leadership and management experience in an international school setting.
  • Experience with the British National or American Curriculum.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching and learning strategies.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance learning outcomes.
