The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Develop and implement engaging, practical and curriculum-focused teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Food Technology curriculum and student experience.
  • Participate actively in the wider life of the school, including community engagement and school events.
  • Support the school’s mission to 'awaken minds', 'achieve dreams', and 'serve others'.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant Food Technology experience.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to the school’s values and mission.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Experience with teaching English as a Second Language (ESOL) or working with diverse student groups.
  • Leadership experience or interest in school-wide leadership opportunities.
