The Opportunity:

As a French Teacher, you will play a vital role in developing students’ spoken French across GCSE, A Level, and DELF pathways. This is an opportunity to inspire a love of language and culture, while delivering high-quality teaching and support to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective conversation-based French lessons to students across multiple academic levels.
  • Provide targeted linguistic support to help students achieve their full potential in spoken French.
  • Develop and implement teaching strategies that promote cultural awareness and appreciation of French language and heritage.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Modern Languages Department to enhance the curriculum and student learning experiences.
  • Support students in preparing for examinations such as GCSE, A Level, and DELF.
  • Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters confidence and enthusiasm for language learning.
  • Stay up to date with current teaching methodologies and incorporate innovative approaches into lessons.
  • Participate in school-wide events and initiatives that celebrate language and cultural diversity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native or fluent level proficiency in French.
  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching French at secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching French at GCSE and A Level.
  • Familiarity with DELF exam preparation.
  • Experience with bilingual or international students.
  • Passion for cultural enrichment and language learning.
