Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons to students across a range of programmes including GCSE, A-level, and University Foundation.
- Develop engaging and inclusive curricula that reflect the diverse backgrounds of students.
- Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and academic excellence.
- Participate in co-curricular activities such as Psychology Societies and Electives to enhance student experience.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Humanities department and wider school community.
- Stay current with developments in Psychology and incorporate them into teaching practice.
- Support students in preparing for university applications and future academic pathways.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
- Experience teaching Psychology at A-level or equivalent standard.
- Strong communication and literacy skills in English.
- Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
- Proven record of reflective and inspiring classroom practice.
Preferred
- Experience in extra-curricular or co-curricular activities.
- Knowledge of national and international current affairs related to Psychology.
- Experience with international students and cross-cultural teaching.
- Interest in professional development and leadership opportunities such as NPQ qualifications.
