Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Psychology lessons to students across a range of programmes including GCSE, A-level, and University Foundation.
  • Develop engaging and inclusive curricula that reflect the diverse backgrounds of students.
  • Foster a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking and academic excellence.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities such as Psychology Societies and Electives to enhance student experience.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Humanities department and wider school community.
  • Stay current with developments in Psychology and incorporate them into teaching practice.
  • Support students in preparing for university applications and future academic pathways.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Experience teaching Psychology at A-level or equivalent standard.
  • Strong communication and literacy skills in English.
  • Commitment to high standards of teaching and student achievement.
  • Ability to create engaging and inclusive classroom environments.
  • Proven record of reflective and inspiring classroom practice.

Preferred

  • Experience in extra-curricular or co-curricular activities.
  • Knowledge of national and international current affairs related to Psychology.
  • Experience with international students and cross-cultural teaching.
  • Interest in professional development and leadership opportunities such as NPQ qualifications.
