Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality French lessons to junior school students, ensuring engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Plan and assess lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress regularly, setting clear targets for improvement.
- Participate in peer observations and professional development to enhance teaching practices.
- Maintain accurate records of student work, assessments, and progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents through informative reports and updates.
- Collaborate with the Inclusion Team and Head of School to support students with special needs or concerns.
- Contribute to the school’s enrichment programme through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor of Education or PGCE with a relevant specialism, or a relevant degree plus a PGCE in Primary Education.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification teaching experience.
- Experience teaching in a UK-based or international school following the British curriculum.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching French in a junior school setting.
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and international assessment frameworks.
- Ability to contribute to a vibrant extracurricular programme.
