The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a highly motivated MFL Teacher to cover maternity leave from August 2026 until February 2027. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic learning environment and support students in achieving academic success in French or Spanish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in French or Spanish at Key Stage 3, 4, and A Level.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and resources that reflect the cultural and political context of the target language countries.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and debate.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities that promote language learning and cultural awareness.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s vision and educational goals.
• Provide regular feedback to students and parents on academic progress and development.
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and QTS certification.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience in a UK curriculum school.
• Proven ability to teach French or Spanish at A Level with outstanding results.
• Strong knowledge of the social and political context of French or Spanish-speaking countries.
• Experience in teaching French and Spanish at Key Stage 3 and either language at Key Stage 4.

Preferred

• Experience with extra-curricular activities related to language learning.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience working in an international school setting.
