The Opportunity:

As an FS2 Class Teacher and Year Group Leader, you will play a key role in shaping young learners while leading the FS2 team. This position offers the chance to influence teaching and learning across the year group and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver consistently high-quality teaching aligned with the National Curriculum for England
  • Lead the FS2 team in planning, assessment, moderation, and curriculum delivery
  • Use data and assessment tools effectively to drive progress and improve outcomes
  • Support and mentor teachers within the year group, fostering a collaborative and reflective team culture
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, building strong partnerships
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and support the senior leadership team
  • Ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning across the year group

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or PGCE with QTS
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching in a primary setting (UK curriculum preferred)
  • Previous experience in a middle leadership role or readiness to step into leadership
  • In-depth knowledge of the National Curriculum for England and sound pedagogical practice
  • Proven impact on pupil progress and achievement

Preferred

  • ADEK approval or eligibility
  • Experience with international education settings
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
