The Opportunity:

As a Primary Class Teacher and Maths Leader, you will have the opportunity to lead and inspire both students and colleagues in the delivery of high-quality mathematics education. This role combines classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities, making a significant impact on pupil achievement and the development of a maths-focused culture across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding teaching within your assigned primary class, following the National Curriculum for England
• Lead the development and implementation of the maths curriculum across the primary phase
• Promote a mastery-based approach and build a love of mathematics among staff and students
• Support and mentor colleagues to improve the quality of maths teaching and learning
• Use data effectively to monitor pupil progress and identify areas for development
• Organise and lead maths enrichment activities such as competitions, themed days, and parent workshops
• Provide targeted professional development for staff to enhance subject knowledge and pedagogy
• Ensure consistency in planning, assessment, and differentiation in mathematics across year groups

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or PGCE with QTS
• Minimum of 4 years’ teaching experience, with recent experience in the UK curriculum
• A strong record of impact on pupil progress, particularly in maths
• Experience or formal role in middle leadership, preferably as a subject or phase leader
• In-depth understanding of maths mastery principles and curriculum development in primary mathematics

Preferred

• ADEK approval or eligibility
• Experience working in an international school environment
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
