Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver outstanding teaching within your assigned primary class, following the National Curriculum for England
• Lead the development and implementation of the English curriculum across the primary phase
• Support and mentor colleagues to improve English teaching and learning outcomes
• Use data effectively to monitor student progress and identify areas for intervention or improvement
• Lead and organise professional development sessions in line with school priorities
• Promote a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Ensure consistency in planning, assessment, and differentiation in English across year groups
• Collaborate with senior leaders and contribute to school improvement planning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or PGCE with QTS
• Minimum of 4 years’ teaching experience, with recent experience in the UK curriculum
• Proven record of impact on student progress, particularly in English
• Experience or formal role in middle leadership, preferably as a subject or phase leader
• Strong understanding of mastery-based approaches and curriculum development in English

Preferred

• ADEK approval or eligibility
• Experience with international education settings
• Familiarity with AI-powered learning environments
