The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students from Key Stage 3 through to A Level.
  • Develop innovative and engaging teaching strategies that reflect the school’s commitment to academic excellence.
  • Support the pastoral care and wellbeing of students, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the wider curriculum by teaching other science subjects to Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 where required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to ensure the highest standards of teaching.
  • Play an active role in the safeguarding and welfare of students.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school’s vibrant community life.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good honours degree.
  • A QTS or PGCE teaching qualification, preferably from the UK.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in teaching.
  • Ability to provide an ICPC and a UK enhanced DBS or equivalent police check.
  • Professional appearance and conduct.
  • Commitment to the school’s vision, values, and purpose.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Geography through to A Level.
  • Experience in teaching other science subjects to Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach to pastoral care and student wellbeing.
  • Demonstrated ability to support the academic and personal development of students.
