The Opportunity:

A Geography Teacher (Maternity Cover) is sought to deliver high-quality education to students in Years 5-13. This is a temporary role for one term, starting in September 2026, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a highly regarded and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons to a wide range of students.
• Support students with special educational needs and challenge gifted and talented learners.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school's high academic standards.
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages independent learning.
• Participate in school events and contribute to the wider educational community.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in line with the school's safeguarding policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and appropriate teaching qualification.
• Proven experience in delivering Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

• Experience in supporting students with special educational needs.
• Familiarity with The Global Classroom initiative.
• Experience with digital learning and technology integration in teaching.
• Background in extracurricular Geography activities or fieldwork.
