The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Head of Mathematics to lead and inspire the development of a high-quality maths curriculum. This is a pivotal role with the potential to influence student achievement and drive academic excellence across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of a dynamic and innovative maths curriculum.
- Inspire and motivate students through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
- Support and mentor maths teachers to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and Trust to share best practices and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for development and intervention.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of maths lessons, including at A Level where appropriate.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with school and Trust priorities.
- Promote a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
- Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
- Strong track record in curriculum development and delivery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff alike.
Preferred
- Experience of teaching and leading at A Level.
- Familiarity with the Endeavour Learning Trust and its values.
- Experience in driving school improvement and leading teams through change.
- Strong understanding of current maths education trends and pedagogical approaches.
