The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Head of Mathematics to lead and inspire the development of a high-quality maths curriculum. This is a pivotal role with the potential to influence student achievement and drive academic excellence across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a dynamic and innovative maths curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students through high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Support and mentor maths teachers to ensure consistent standards and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and Trust to share best practices and resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for development and intervention.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of maths lessons, including at A Level where appropriate.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure alignment with school and Trust priorities.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or college setting.
  • Strong track record in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff alike.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching and leading at A Level.
  • Familiarity with the Endeavour Learning Trust and its values.
  • Experience in driving school improvement and leading teams through change.
  • Strong understanding of current maths education trends and pedagogical approaches.
