Summary:

German Teacher position available at a growing international school in southern Spain.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced German Teacher to join our team and deliver high-quality instruction across Key Stage 3 and up to IGCSE level. This is an opportunity to inspire students, foster a love of the German language, and contribute to a vibrant, multicultural learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective German lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and IGCSE.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote linguistic proficiency and cultural appreciation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Support students in preparing for IGCSE examinations with structured and targeted teaching.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through involvement in cultural events, trips, and school productions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and student outcomes.
  • If applicable, provide pastoral care and support to students in the boarding community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching German up to IGCSE level.
  • Experience in a UK or international school following the National Curriculum of England & Wales.
  • Fluency in English and strong German communication skills.
  • EU passport/status or valid TIE/right to work in Spain.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Knowledge of Spanish.
  • Experience in a boarding or pastoral setting.
