Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Business and Economics curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards of teaching and learning.
  • Manage a team of educators, providing mentorship, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate innovative teaching methods and technology into lessons.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that all learners achieve their personal best.
  • Represent the school at external events, conferences, and partnerships that enhance the profile of the department.
  • Ensure that all teaching and learning practices align with the school’s values of kindness, ambition, and excellence.
  • Support the school’s mission to create a nurturing, inclusive, and academically rigorous environment for all students.
  • Develop and implement strategies that promote student engagement and a love for learning in Business and Economics.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK-recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, QTS/QTLS or equivalent) in Business and Economics or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching within a British or international curriculum.
  • Strong leadership and management experience in an educational setting.
  • A deep understanding of inclusive, high-impact teaching strategies.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered and EdTech-enhanced teaching practices.
  • Background in STEAM+ and global challenge-based learning.
  • Demonstrated success in fostering student leadership and independent learning.
