Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of teachers, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Business Studies and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
  • Support staff through mentoring, professional development, and collaborative planning.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive school environment that reflects the school’s ethos and values.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
  • Promote student achievement and ensure a broad and balanced education for all learners.
  • Engage with the wider school community, including parents and external partners.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching Business Studies and Economics at Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in a Middle Leader role.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present and inspire.
  • A commitment to the school’s ethos and core values.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement and drive positive change.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
  • Familiarity with Chaplaincy work and pastoral care.
  • Strong track record in staff development and team building.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of innovative teaching methods and technologies.
