The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. This role offers the chance to shape young minds and contribute to a school culture that values faith, learning, and personal growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality RE across the 11–18 age range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Religious Education lessons to students aged 11–18.
  • Support the spiritual and moral development of students through curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in the planning, preparation, and marking of lessons.
  • Engage with the Chaplaincy team to support the school’s ethos and values.
  • Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and ensure it reflects the school’s mission.
  • Promote inclusivity and respect for all students within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Provide pastoral support where appropriate and in line with the school’s values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
  • Ability to teach RE across the 11–18 age range.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Passion for Religious Education and the school’s ethos.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong Christian foundation.
  • Background in Chaplaincy or pastoral work.
  • Experience with curriculum development in RE.
  • Demonstrable track record in inspiring and motivating students.
