The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Religious Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality RE across the 11–18 age range.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Religious Education lessons to students aged 11–18.
- Support the spiritual and moral development of students through curriculum and extra-curricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
- Participate in the planning, preparation, and marking of lessons.
- Engage with the Chaplaincy team to support the school’s ethos and values.
- Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum and ensure it reflects the school’s mission.
- Promote inclusivity and respect for all students within the classroom and wider school community.
- Provide pastoral support where appropriate and in line with the school’s values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Religious Education.
- Ability to teach RE across the 11–18 age range.
- Strong interpersonal and presentational skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Passion for Religious Education and the school’s ethos.
Preferred
- Experience in a school with a strong Christian foundation.
- Background in Chaplaincy or pastoral work.
- Experience with curriculum development in RE.
- Demonstrable track record in inspiring and motivating students.
