The Opportunity:

As the Head of Department - Summer School, you will lead the design of an inspiring and impactful academic programme for students aged 8-16. This role offers the chance to shape a vibrant international learning community and make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver a high-quality summer school curriculum for students aged 8-16.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to create engaging and student-centred learning experiences.
  • Plan and lead departmental activities, including excursions and additional learning opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit detailed student progress reports.
  • Ensure the use of up-to-date teaching resources and innovative learning methods.
  • Contribute to the development of a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the school’s mission of character education through meaningful engagement with students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in teaching and curriculum design.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students through creative teaching methods.
  • Experience working with students aged 8-16.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in international education or teaching diverse student groups.
  • Familiarity with outdoor education or experiential learning.
  • Background in design or related subjects.
  • Previous experience in a summer school or similar educational setting.
