Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high-performing Mathematics department with a focus on raising student achievement.
- Implement and monitor effective teaching and learning strategies across the curriculum.
- Work closely with the Middle Leadership Group to drive whole-school improvement and innovation.
- Oversee the development and delivery of assessment and feedback initiatives.
- Ensure consistent and high-quality student outcomes, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Support and mentor staff within the Mathematics team to enhance teaching practice.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to share best practices and improve student engagement.
- Maintain strong links with the Saffron Academy Trust and local networks to support professional growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in leading a Mathematics department in a school setting.
- A track record of outstanding classroom practice and student achievement.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in assessment and feedback innovation.
- Background in a school with a strong focus on student progress and achievement.
- Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar partnership structure.
- Experience with leading initiatives that have contributed to school improvement.
