Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the development of the Science department, working closely with the Head of Science
• Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning across all key stages
• Implement innovative curriculum approaches, including the use of technology
• Ensure all students achieve their full potential through high-quality instruction and support
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental strategies and outcomes
• Promote a culture of professional development and leadership growth
• Monitor and evaluate student progress and achievement
• Support the delivery of AQA Combined Science: Trilogy at Key Stage 4

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong subject knowledge in Science
• Proven experience in teaching and leading within a school environment
• Excellent classroom practice and ability to inspire students
• Commitment to high standards and continuous improvement
• Leadership potential and ambition for future progression

Preferred

• Experience in a leadership or Second-in-Charge role
• Familiarity with AQA Combined Science: Trilogy curriculum
• Experience with technology integration in Science teaching
• Background in curriculum development or innovation
