Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the school's educational, care, and therapeutic provision.
- Develop and implement a shared strategic vision for the school's growth and development.
- Inspire and lead effective teams, ensuring high standards of teaching and care.
- Support staff development and performance management to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Ensure the school meets the needs of students with autism, communication disorders, and learning difficulties.
- Collaborate with commissioning bodies and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven leadership experience in a special school or SEN setting.
- Strong track record in behaviour management and student support.
- Experience in leading and developing effective teams.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to create and implement strategic vision and long-term planning.
Preferred
- Experience in a residential setting or working with students with complex needs.
- Knowledge of Prader Willi Syndrome and related conditions.
- Experience with sponsored learning and professional development opportunities.
- Familiarity with the Teachers Pension Scheme and related benefits.
