Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the school's educational, care, and therapeutic provision.
  • Develop and implement a shared strategic vision for the school's growth and development.
  • Inspire and lead effective teams, ensuring high standards of teaching and care.
  • Support staff development and performance management to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce.
  • Ensure the school meets the needs of students with autism, communication disorders, and learning difficulties.
  • Collaborate with commissioning bodies and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a special school or SEN setting.
  • Strong track record in behaviour management and student support.
  • Experience in leading and developing effective teams.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to create and implement strategic vision and long-term planning.

Preferred

  • Experience in a residential setting or working with students with complex needs.
  • Knowledge of Prader Willi Syndrome and related conditions.
  • Experience with sponsored learning and professional development opportunities.
