The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the classroom and during one-on-one sessions to enhance their learning experience.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Monitor and support students’ behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Provide individualised support to students with additional needs, promoting their academic and personal development.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective learning strategies and interventions.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with staff and parents.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation and engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A valid NVQ in Teaching Assistant or equivalent experience and skills.
- Strong understanding of current practices in supporting children’s learning and behaviour management.
- Knowledge in key areas such as literacy, numeracy, and science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred
- Experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Previous experience with students with additional needs.
- Familiarity with teaching English as a second language.
- Experience with curriculum planning and delivery.
- Demonstrated passion for education and student success.
