The Opportunity:

As a History Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum. You will inspire students to explore history, develop critical thinking, and foster a deep appreciation for the past in a dynamic, inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the British Curriculum for Year 8 to Year 11.
  • Plan and implement creative, curriculum-compliant lesson plans that encourage historical inquiry and analytical thinking.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners and promotes student engagement.
  • Use educational technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices in history education.
  • Support student learning through formative and summative assessments.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and students to support academic and personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, History, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within the British Curriculum system.
  • Strong knowledge of historical concepts and the ability to teach across Year 8 to Year 11.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning.
