Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver outstanding drama lessons in line with the school’s teaching and learning policy
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all students
• Identify and address the needs of students with special educational needs, EAL, and gifted and talented students
• Use performance data and ICT to enhance teaching and student progress
• Maintain discipline and promote good behavior in accordance with the school’s policies
• Assess and record student progress systematically and provide clear feedback
• Support parent and student events, and contribute to the school’s ECA program
• Participate in curriculum development and keep subject knowledge up to date through professional development
• Undertake examination invigilation and other duties as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Drama with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Newly Qualified Teacher (NQTS) status

Preferred

• Experience teaching students for whom English is not their first language
• Passion for teaching and commitment to the holistic development of students
• Strong involvement in extra-curricular activities
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to work
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
