Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons aligned with the IB DP curriculum
• Design and implement inquiry-based learning strategies to foster student engagement and critical thinking
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Social Sciences department and across disciplines
• Support students in developing a deep understanding of historical events and diverse perspectives
• Promote an inclusive classroom environment that values and supports all students
• Participate in professional development and contribute to the school’s mission and culture
• Stay current with IB teaching methodologies and best practices in education
• Encourage student research and exploration of historical topics

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field
• Strong knowledge of history content relevant to the IB DP curriculum
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Ability to design and deliver inquiry-based lessons
• Willingness to collaborate with colleagues across disciplines

Preferred

• Teaching certification
• Proficiency in Portuguese
