As a Homeroom Teacher - Junior Section, you will play a vital role in shaping young learners' educational journeys. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a diverse group of students in a student-centered, inquiry-based learning environment.
  • Develop and implement engaging, challenging, and meaningful learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum.
  • Support the development of international-mindedness and cross-cultural understanding in students.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning community.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to inform instruction and support individual learning needs.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school leaders to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Participate in professional development and training programs to continuously improve teaching practice.
  • Contribute to school events and community activities that promote a positive and inclusive school culture.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Advanced/proficient-level English language skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in English or similar, with a PGCE in Education with QTS or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years’ experience teaching in a reputable school
  • A track record of outstanding student results
  • Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment and integrity
  • Inter-cultural awareness and well-developed communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching the International Baccalaureate programme
  • Strong knowledge of assessment and its use in the classroom
  • Experience in creating rich, engaging, and challenging learning experiences for students
  • Passion for stretching students to achieve their potential and beyond
