The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced IB Environmental Systems and Societies Teacher who is passionate about science education and sustainability. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3–5 and contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in IB Environmental Systems and Societies and Key Stage 3 Science.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote critical thinking and curiosity.
  • Support students in achieving academic excellence and fostering a passion for environmental and scientific inquiry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and cross-subject learning.
  • Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Stay current with developments in environmental science and sustainability education.
  • Supervise and mentor students during extracurricular and enrichment activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in IB Environmental Systems and Societies.
  • Strong subject knowledge in environmental and scientific disciplines.
  • Proven ability to teach Key Stage 3 Science and/or IGCSE-level science subjects.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to fostering student engagement and critical thinking.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within an international or multicultural setting.
  • Familiarity with the IB curriculum and assessment framework.
  • Experience with cross-curricular and project-based learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for sustainability and environmental education.
