The Opportunity:

As a Primary Performing Arts Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and creative lessons in Drama, Music, and Dance to students in Years 1–6. You will collaborate with the Performing Arts team to produce exciting school shows and extracurricular performances, and lead after-school clubs that nurture students' artistic talents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Drama/Performing Arts lessons for Years 1–6.
  • Coordinate and produce Primary School Shows and Extracurricular Performances, such as the Christmas Nativity and Primary & Early Years Shows.
  • Lead and manage after-school performing arts clubs.
  • Collaborate with Fine Arts and Music teams to organise cross-curricular events.
  • Support the school’s Core Principles and Strategic Values of Challenge, Community, and Care.
  • Work in partnership with other departments to enhance the overall student experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified and experienced Performing Arts Teacher with a strong background in Drama for Years 1–6.
  • Demonstrated skills in Music, Dance, and Choreography.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Commitment to the school’s Strategic Values of Challenge, Community, and Care.

Preferred

  • Experience in producing school shows and extracurricular performances.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cross-curricular events and partnership working.
  • Familiarity with the Skills for Life Programme.
