The Opportunity:
As an IBDP Coordinator, you will lead the delivery of the IB Diploma Programme, ensuring alignment with IB standards and inspiring both students and staff to achieve academic excellence. This is a key academic leadership role that requires experience, vision, and a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation, development, and evaluation of the IBDP, ensuring full alignment with IB policies and practices.
- Support and guide teachers in the delivery of DP subjects, providing ongoing professional development.
- Coordinate internal and external assessments, including examination logistics and data analysis.
- Liaise with the IBO to ensure all regulatory requirements and deadlines are met.
- Monitor academic progress and implement systems for tracking, feedback, and intervention.
- Promote a culture of inquiry, critical thinking, and international mindedness across the school.
- Contribute to school improvement planning and wider whole-school initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A university degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification.
- Significant experience teaching in the IB Diploma Programme.
- Prior experience in an IB leadership role (Coordinator, Examiner, Workshop Leader, or School Evaluator is desirable).
Preferred
- Expertise in IB assessment strategies and the development of concept-based and inquiry-driven learning.
- A collaborative leadership style and strong communication skills.
- A passion for continuous professional development and fostering academic excellence.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Italian is an advantage.
