The Opportunity:

As an IBDP Coordinator, you will provide strategic leadership for the IB Diploma Programme, ensuring it is delivered with integrity, consistency, and ambition. You will support teachers, guide students, and maintain strong relationships with the IB, making a meaningful impact on student success and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the DP, ensuring the programme is coherent, well understood, and consistently implemented.
  • Maintain a clear annual development plan for the DP, and report on progress to the Secondary Leadership Team.
  • Ensure policies and procedures linked to the DP are current, understood, and applied.
  • Lead the school through IB processes including self-study, evaluation visits, and post-evaluation development.
  • Support subject teachers and Heads of Department in DP course planning and alignment with IB subject guides.
  • Oversee the DP assessment calendar and coordinate internal assessment processes.
  • Provide oversight for the DP Core (TOK, EE, CAS) and ensure consistent expectations and student support.
  • Lead DP course selection and option blocks in collaboration with colleagues and parents.
  • Ensure academic integrity across the DP, including education, prevention, and authentication processes.
  • Organise and run mock and final exam sessions according to IB procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and lead DP information sessions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in IB Diploma Programme coordination or leadership.
  • Strong understanding of IB Programme Standards and Practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of teachers and coordinators.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with student guidance, course selection, and academic support.
  • Familiarity with academic integrity processes and AI use in education.
  • Background in pastoral support or student wellbeing initiatives.
  • Experience in international school environments or multicultural settings.
