The Opportunity:
As an Interim Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving forward the school’s ambitious fundraising plans and the RGS Gives campaign. This role offers a unique opportunity to build and steward a portfolio of supporters, manage event bookings, and support the school’s external relations team in engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of supporters through donor engagement and relationship-building.
- Support the delivery of the RGS Gives campaign, including fundraising activities and community outreach.
- Coordinate and manage event bookings, ensuring a high standard of organisation and execution.
- Provide valuable support to colleagues across the External Relations Team, including marketing, communications, and alumni engagement.
- Deliver high-quality communications content through the school’s website, social media, and other channels.
- Maintain contact with the school’s extensive alumni network through events and publications.
- Contribute to the development and promotion of the school’s marketing activities to attract prospective parents and students.
- Assist in the delivery of engaging content for current parents, staff, and the wider RGS community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in donor engagement, fundraising, or community relations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience in event management or coordination.
Preferred
- Experience in the education sector or with charitable organisations.
- Familiarity with fundraising campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
- Experience with digital marketing or content creation.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and their use in engagement and promotion.
