The Opportunity:
A Support Assistant is needed to help pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 access the curriculum and overcome learning barriers. Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and overcoming barriers to learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver high-quality, personalised support.
- Assist in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
- Promote the school’s Catholic vision, mission, and values in all aspects of work.
- Help develop students’ academic, social, and emotional confidence.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with relevant staff.
- Contribute to the overall success of the learning support team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience of supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A genuine passion for helping young people progress and achieve.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the school’s Catholic vision, mission, and values.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience with pastoral care or student support.
- Flexibility to work term time only with additional training days.
