The Opportunity:
As an Investigation Officer, you will play a key role in managing and resolving complaints across the organisation, ensuring fairness, dignity, and professionalism in every process. This is a vital position that contributes directly to the school’s commitment to maintaining high standards of service and support for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and managing the full complaints investigation process from start to finish.
- Delivering timely, thorough, and impartial reviews of all complaints received.
- Supporting stakeholders, including vulnerable individuals, in raising concerns and providing feedback.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records for audit and reporting purposes.
- Monitoring and following up on actions and improvements resulting from investigations.
- Preparing comprehensive reports for senior management and relevant teams.
- Conducting root cause analysis to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Supporting data protection and equality impact assessments within the Quality Team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in complaints handling or customer service.
- Demonstrable background in a regulated environment, preferably in education or care.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate resilience.
- Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection requirements.
- Ability to work sensitively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including vulnerable individuals.
Preferred
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and improvements.
- Experience in conducting root cause analysis or similar assessments.
- Familiarity with internal audit processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
