The Opportunity:
As a Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports the development of young children. You will be responsible for planning engaging activities, promoting social and personal growth, and ensuring that each child reaches their full potential in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a stimulating and caring learning environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Plan and deliver weekly guided activities that challenge and inspire Kindergarten pupils.
- Provide regular and accurate reports on children’s progress through online learning journals and parent meetings.
- Establish strong relationships with parents and carers to support children’s learning and development.
- Monitor and assess children’s learning and development, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Promote positive behaviour and self-control, reinforcing self-esteem and independence.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning skills in young children.
- Comply with all safeguarding and child protection policies, ensuring the welfare of all children in your care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in early years education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Commitment to child welfare and safeguarding.
- Experience in using digital technology in the classroom, with willingness to learn and adapt.
Preferred
- Experience with iPad 1-to-1 learning environments.
- Background in innovative teaching methods and classroom management strategies.
- Knowledge of child development and learning theories.
- Experience in creating and maintaining online learning journals or digital records.
