The Opportunity:

As a Late Stay Supervisor, you will ensure the safety, wellbeing, and supervision of students during the late stay hours. This role is essential in providing a structured, engaging, and secure environment for students after school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and supervision of pupils on site between 3:00pm and 6:00pm.
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and carers to maintain the safety of students using the Late Stay facility.
  • Organise and oversee the escorting of pupils to transport at various locations and times.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupils in Late Stay and forward weekly reports to the Accounts Office.
  • Administer First Aid as required and ensure a calm and purposeful atmosphere in the Late Stay area.
  • Assist pupils with homework and organise activities for those who have completed their tasks.
  • Replenish resources and ensure Health and Safety procedures are up to date and effective.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or care setting.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage administrative tasks.
  • First Aid qualifications or willingness to obtain them.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school environment or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
  • Experience with child supervision during after-school hours.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
