The Opportunity:

As a Late Stay Supervisor, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and engagement of students during after-school hours. This role is ideal for someone passionate about child care and education, with a focus on creating a positive and structured environment for pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of pupils during late stay hours (3.00pm–6.00pm).
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and carers to manage the collection and care of pupils.
  • Organise the safe and timely escort of pupils to transport locations.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil attendance and forward reports to the Accounts Office.
  • Administer First Aid and maintain a calm, purposeful atmosphere in the Late Stay area.
  • Support pupils with homework and organise engaging activities for those who have completed tasks.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and up to date.
  • Assist in emergency situations and escort pupils to other school sites as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience working with children in a school or care setting.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to manage and supervise groups of children effectively.
  • Knowledge of First Aid procedures.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection policies.

Preferred

  • Experience in educational or childcare roles.
  • Familiarity with administrative systems and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work term-time and part-time hours.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive annual salary of £8,466 (£26,691 FTE).
