The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS3 English Teacher to join our team and support students in Years 7 and 8, preparing them for Common Entrance and Scholarship. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to Years 7 and 8 students, including preparation for Common Entrance and Scholarship.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential academically and personally.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and resources that align with the school’s curriculum and values.
  • Participate actively in extra-curricular activities, including sport, music, drama, and river-based programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of nurturing the whole child.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the school’s academic and co-educational ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in KS3 English.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to prepare students for Common Entrance and Scholarship.
  • Experience working in a co-educational or mixed setting.
