The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated KS3 English Teacher to join our team and support students in Years 7 and 8, preparing them for Common Entrance and Scholarship. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality English lessons to Years 7 and 8 students, including preparation for Common Entrance and Scholarship.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential academically and personally.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and resources that align with the school’s curriculum and values.
- Participate actively in extra-curricular activities, including sport, music, drama, and river-based programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s mission of nurturing the whole child.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Contribute to the continued development of the school’s academic and co-educational ethos.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in KS3 English.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
- Ability to prepare students for Common Entrance and Scholarship.
- Experience working in a co-educational or mixed setting.
Preferred
