Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Geography lessons up to and including Key Stage 5.
  • Motivate and inspire students to develop a love for Geography and a curiosity about the world.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching and learning across the Humanities Faculty.
  • Plan and lead educational trips and experiences that bring Geography to life.
  • Build positive relationships with students, supporting their academic and personal development.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Support the school’s commitment to student behavior, safety, and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Geography or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and 4, with the ability to teach up to Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver high-quality, engaging lessons.
  • Commitment to student success and academic excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with educational trips and experiential learning.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience in a school with a strong academic reputation and Ofsted outstanding rating.
  • Background in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
