Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning and development
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupils’ needs
- Prepare and organise classrooms and resources to create engaging learning environments
- Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage participation and engagement
- Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans
- Support extra-curricular activities, trips, and learning experiences
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support the team
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Motivated and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting learners
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patience
- Ability to work flexibly and creatively in a dynamic environment
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
Preferred
- Previous experience in education, especially with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or autism spectrum condition (ASC)
- Experience in supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Familiarity with individual education plans and inclusive teaching strategies
