As a Learning Support Assistant, you will help pupils with complex needs reach their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils and small groups to enhance learning and development
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupils’ needs
  • Prepare and organise classrooms and resources to create engaging learning environments
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage participation and engagement
  • Support pupils in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individual education plans
  • Support extra-curricular activities, trips, and learning experiences
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and support the team

Preferred

  • Previous experience in education, especially with pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or autism spectrum condition (ASC)
  • Experience in supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Familiarity with individual education plans and inclusive teaching strategies
