We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support students across all key stages. This role offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young people with autism and SEMH needs, while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students’ safety, welfare, and emotional regulation.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning experiences.
- Collaborate with education and wellbeing teams to support student engagement.
- Develop and implement activities that promote emotional regulation and holistic development.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students and act as a role model.
- Adapt support strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of students’ academic and personal growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children and young people with social/emotional difficulties and/or challenging behaviour.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to adapt support to meet individual needs and enable learning progress.
- Demonstrated emotional availability and resilience.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a classroom or educational support setting.
- Basic ICT proficiency.
- Commitment to ongoing training and career development.
