The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students and teachers to help pupils reach their full potential. This is a fixed-term role with a focus on providing high-quality, tailored support to students in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support individual pupils and small groups during educational activities.
  • Assist teachers in developing and delivering tailored learning programmes.
  • Encourage positive relationships and social development among students.
  • Help with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of learning materials.
  • Support students during educational visits and occasional transport.
  • Contribute to pupil progress reports and share insights with the teaching team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • A dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic individual.
  • Experience working with children and a commitment to their development.
  • Strong team-player with the ability to support teachers and take on new challenges.

Preferred

  • Experience in a specialist education setting.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic or emotional support strategies.
  • Experience with educational visits or transport arrangements.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development or student progress tracking.
