The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Lifeguard to ensure the safe and enjoyable use of the swimming pool at a school with a strong focus on student wellbeing and community engagement. This is a key role in maintaining a secure environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of all users of the swimming pool at all times.
• Monitor swimmers and respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
• Conduct regular safety checks and equipment inspections.
• Provide first aid and emergency care when required.
• Assist with the maintenance and cleanliness of the pool area.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and visitors.
• Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Current and valid lifeguard certification.
• Experience in lifeguarding or water safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
• First aid and CPR certification.

Preferred

• Experience working in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child safety and water rescue techniques.
• Experience with swimming pool operations and maintenance.
• Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing.
