Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality Mandarin lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and student development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods.
  • Stay current with best practices in Mandarin education and integrate innovative teaching strategies.

  • Support students in developing language skills, cultural understanding, and academic confidence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a recognized teaching qualification and relevant Mandarin education experience.
  • Strong command of Mandarin language and cultural knowledge.
  • Experience teaching in an international or IB environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
  • Commitment to student well-being and inclusive education practices.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB curriculum or other international education frameworks.
  • Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and student-centered teaching approaches.
  • Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a specialist subject area.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
